Teach Me The Web is run by Kenn Jordan, trading as ElmsPark, from Carrickbyrne, County Wexford, Ireland. The quickest way to reach me about anything on this page is the form on the privacy page, which comes to me directly.

Free courses

A course marked free costs nothing to take. You need an account, because the account is where your prompt versions, runs and scores are kept.

Paid courses

A course with a price is paid for once, not by subscription. The price at checkout is the full price you pay, in pounds sterling, with nothing added afterwards. Payment is taken by Stripe; your card details never reach this site. Access starts as soon as the payment goes through.

Refunds: fourteen days, no questions

If you ask within fourteen days of paying, you get the whole price back, however much of the course you have used. Ask through the form on the privacy page, saying which course. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, and access to that course ends when it is refunded. After fourteen days, a course that does not work as described is still put right or refunded; nothing on this page limits the rights you have as a consumer.

The run allowance

Every account has a monthly allowance of runs, shown in each exercise box. It exists because every run costs real money to mark. The allowance may change, and runs may be paused for an account that is plainly not using them to learn, such as automated use. A paused account is told why.

What you put into an exercise

Your prompts and the answers they produce are sent to Anthropic to be run and marked, as the privacy page explains. Do not put anyone else’s personal details, or anything confidential, into an exercise. Where a lesson asks for your own work, change anything that identifies a customer or a colleague first.

What a score means

A score measures one prompt, on one model, against one set of cases and one rubric. It is evidence about your prompt, not a promise about how any model will behave for you elsewhere. Quotations from model vendors are dated and re-checked every week, and the quotes page shows when each was last found.

Access, and if a course changes

You keep access to a course you paid for for as long as it is offered here. Lessons are corrected and improved over time, and your saved versions and runs are kept through those changes. If a paid course is ever withdrawn, you will be told by email at least thirty days before it goes.

Liability

This is a course about writing and checking prompts. It is not advice for any particular decision, and what you do with a prompt or an answer is your own call. Where the law allows it, liability for anything to do with a course is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the Irish courts deal with any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the European Union or in the United Kingdom, you keep the consumer protections of the place where you live.

If these terms change

A change applies from the date shown at the top of this page, and never takes away a refund you have already asked for or access you have already paid for.
